Kathy Schultz: Western Regional Director
I was born and raised in sunny Southern California. I attended community college in Long Beach and began my career at a law firm as a receptionist. I quickly advanced within the firm to become a Legal Assistant selling our services and setting retainer fees for new clients. Prior to joining Guaranteed Returns, I also worked in the Mortgage industry and was an Executive Assistant to the CEO of a Fortune 500 Company.
This year is my 5th anniversary with Guaranteed Returns. I was hired as a Regional Executive Assistant for the Western Region; my role was to support the Regional Manager and the Service Representatives who provided pharmaceutical returns service in the Western Region. I was promoted to Regional Director in 2014 and I attribute my success to my prior experiences in sales and management as well as my ability to communicate effectively at all levels. These experiences contine to be invaluable in my position as Western Regional Director.
Definition of Hard Work
I believe a strong challenge is connected with strong results. I think we can get lucky every once in a while and find an easy path to success but you won’t be able to maintain that success without putting in hard work.
As Steve Pavlina says and I agree, “The nice thing about hard work is that it’s universal. It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in — hard work can be used to achieve positive long-term results regardless of the specifics.”
Regional Director Guiding Principle to Live By
Exceed Customer Expectations – Being a leader means setting expectations and providing examples, going over and above, taking the one extra moment to go out of your way to please someone or make sure the job is done right. I think these are the things that separate Guaranteed Returns and its employees from the competition; it’s the reason we have great relationships with our customers.
