Are Pharmacists the Key to Spring?

Spring is finally here! But, with spring comes allergy season bringing with it a new set of ailments. Pharmacists are in a unique position to help patients since they are often the first contact by a patient seeking relief from their allergies.

Pharmacists can also help patients distinguish between allergies and a cold. Although both seasonal allergies and the common cold share many of the same symptoms, a cold will typically include sore throat, cough, aches and pains. A cold will last 3 – 10 days, whereas allergies can last for weeks.
